A Bad Week

I've been doing well with avoiding maudlin music but this week has been hard and next week will be worse. It was on the Wednesday of this week, last year, that an ambulance nurse hugged me (my stoicism had been fine until then) after she and her colleague spoke gently of EOL and we agreed to call the Frailty Team to come and visit at home rather than have Pauline go to hospital.

I'm not going to shy away from this - memory is so important - so, for Pauline, her favourite piece of music - Wedding Day at Troldhaugen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDnDFvEl0Mc.

I should still be posting these coming days but, with luck, on more mundane things.

WAIT ... I can't stop there, and Pauline wouldn't want me to. The last concert we went to was Sharon Shannon ... so here's a reprise of an earlier tune, but this time a set up in Galway with Mundy ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNs0vKDvs0g.

    1. Thanks Deeanna for the e-hug. Writing about other stuff takes my mind off things and over the next few days I shall be focusing on the luck I've had in such a companion for so many years. We all run out of time, sometime.
